Arepa Arepa in Brooklyn

Was in Brooklyn to see Celebration a few weeks ago, and at my brother's suggestion tried a cute tiny eatery  before the show that specialized in arepas called appropriately enough...Arepa Arepa!

Here's a look at the full menu board inside the restaurant, the prices are reasonable and each arepa comes with a small side salad.

To start, we had a side of the plantains with white cheese and honey...delicious and everything went together really well!  I don't like plantains when not cooked well, but these were as good as I've had em.

The Pabellon arepa, which is skirt steak with plantains, black beans, and white cheese.
This arepa has some of my favorite ingredients and the combination of flavors was amazing!

The other arepa we got was the Pescado arepa, filled with tilapia, onions, tomatoes, and parsley.
The flavors were milder when compared to the Pabellon but still gooooood.

Not only was the food great, the waiter/owner was really friendly and the service was very attentive...a very chill, relaxed place to grab a bite...and it's also BYOB!
