NYC Lunch: Hainanese Chicken at Nyonya in Chinatown!

I love me some Malaysian food!  My go-to Malaysian place in Chinatown had been New Malaysia for years, but when I had the chance to try the hainanese chicken in both restaurants recently, Nyonya's wins hands down. Hainanese chicken and chicken rice is HUGE in Malaysia and Singapore and is a real popular street food/cheap fare.

Hainanese chicken is lightly poached and tender chicken drizzled with soy served with a side of sweet chili sauce.  The chicken rice is simply white rice cooked in seasoned chicken broth.  It's sounds so simple but it's great!  Nyona has a lunch special chicken rice dish for around $5.

The lunch special comes with chicken rice and some soup as well!  Tastes great and is a good value!
