Tops Diner in Harrison NJ, NJ's Top Diner?

Tops Diner has been a perennially busy and crowded diner...go on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays and you're bound to have to wait for a table.  And while the prices might be a little more expensive than other diners in the area, the quality (and portions!) often exceeds what other places have to offer.

You can't go wrong with breakfast, lunch, or dinner here...one day my brother and I decided to stop by and take advantage of their lunch specials...which also come with a cup of soup and slice of cake, all for around $10, depending on what you get.

One dish we ordered was the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce, and came with onion rings.  You also get a choice of starch and veggies.  (see veggie pics below)

I ordered the lunch special meatloaf, which came topped with mozzarella cheese, gravy, and mushrooms.  You also get your choice of starch and veggie, so I chose the whipped sweet potatoes and creamed spinach (no other diners have I seen these two options as sides!)

You get a great selection of sides whenever you choose an entree...you can see the creamed spinach below, and we chose the sauteed corn, which had a nice spicy kick to it.

You can check out their full menu HERE.
